Life gets really tough when you are living a sedentary lifestyle. It’s alarming and an enemy of your health. So, today, we are going to describe some tips that will help you get up once again.
As a fitness club in London, we understand it’s tough for people to get up or join the gym. Because people who live a sedentary life are dealing with lots of mental issues, too. This is why Meridian Fitness is here to help you shake your hand and pull you out of the dungeon of inactivity.
But first, let us explain what a sedentary lifestyle is and what you’re facing. Let’s find out.
Spotting the Sedentary Lifestyle
This lifestyle shouldn’t be called a lifestyle. Calling it by its name gives chills because it’s not the way anyone should treat their bodies or live too long in this situation. Anyhow, let’s describe it by crossing our hearts.
A sedentary lifestyle doesn’t involve any physical activities. It’s just lying on the bed and checking your phone or watching series or movies.
There’s another one. What should you know about that one? Maybe you do it daily and yet don’t know what it is. Well, it’s sitting on a chair for more than three hours like people who work at a corporate office. If it’s you, then yes, you are somehow living a sedentary lifestyle. You need to snap out of it because it is so dangerous and might end up causing muscle contractions.
How Is A Sedentary Lifestyle Dangerous To You?
Studies on sedentary lifestyles have shown that living like this is a critical risk factor for accelerated ageing-related neurodegenerative disorders (loss of selectively vulnerable populations of neurons).
This research explains that sitting around too much and not getting enough exercise can lead to a bunch of health problems, like a higher risk of heart disease, obesity, metabolic disorders, muscular problems, and memory loss.
Truthfully, it doesn’t stop here. Being inactive, you can feel muscle pain in your lower back. Not being able to move or do any physical exercise will result in much bigger issues in your body. With the pain, you might start feeling dizzy. Not being physically active will somehow affect your brain neurons, too. Worse, your brain neurons might not function properly. This can make your brain numb at some point. The numbness will come and go once a day.
Do you see where you are heading? You need to improve it and start doing physical movement to better your body and mental illness. How can you do that? As a well-established fitness centre, we can help you. Let’s talk about it in detail, shall we?
Meridian Fitness Tips to Stay Active
We are often visited by customers who deal with obesity. We put them on a course of exercises, but they always get demotivated. Worse comes worse they never come back to the gym. My team had a meeting over these matters and came to know these people are mentally weak. Because of the numbness, they can’t continue their fitness journey due to quick demotivation.
So, what solution did we come up with? As experts, we trained ourselves first, to understand people dealing with obesity and came up with many things. First of all, these people need to be managed with a mental management process. Doing a little bit of counselling and making them feel better with put them in a spot to get spontaneous.
With that being said, It’s time to make you better and healthier again. Starting with;
Start Taking the Stairs
It’s better to use stairs than using an elevator. As being on a healthy mission you need to move those fatty legs and train them to move your body. You might feel slightly itchy at the start, but never stop using stairs. Remember that. It will help your lower thigh muscles to get active.
It burns more calories than standing in an elevator, so it’s great practice. Try to walk and use the stairs while shopping, going to the top floor of your office, and starting to walk in the morning.
This gets us to the next step of our tips.
Start Walking
Walking is great for the body and mental health. If you are having trouble walking, get a pet (a dog) to walk with you. Morning walks are usually pretty amazing. They train your brain, and when the fresh air fills your lungs, your body nourishes itself.
If it still doesn’t feel like walking and getting up from your bed. Remember this: the solution to depression lies in exploring the world, so if your depression or anxiety is letting you stay in bed. Don’t listen to them. Just listen to your health.
Because whenever you’re in a bad mental state, you have to do the opposite. For instance, if you had a big turkey burger for lunch and didn’t feel like walking, STOP THINKING, get up, put on your headphones, and start walking.
If you want to reach somewhere, you need to walk towards it first. Start from the baby steps. Whatever you do, at least start moving your legs.
As Steve Harvey says in his show: You got to get comfortable being uncomfortable and stop living in your bubble or else you will reach nowhere.
Stop Overeating
We have it in our hearts that if we fill our stomachs, we’ll fill our hearts. But some people took it far beyond filling their stomachs. Why? They need to fill their hearts more, NO. They need help.
Sometimes, it’s difficult to identify the problem. If you don’t identify the problem, you will never find the solution. That’s why we at Meridian care so much.
Knowing what’s better for the body and health is one of the beauties of being in the fitness business. And a fitness instructor is always against overeating.
Because eating more can make you feel tired, sluggish, or drowsy. This is close to experiencing laziness, which results in living in a sedentary lifestyle. That’s alarming for your health.
How to avoid it?
Every bad habit is avoided to look for the other side, “The Benefits.” Avoiding overeating will make you agile. You will feel healthy and more active than yesterday. Therefore, eating less but healthy food will keep your metabolism balanced and function properly. With a better metabolism, doing your daily workout is very important. It will help you increase your stamina, and the cherry on top, you’ll notice that you have already popped your sedentary lifestyle bubble.
